From Story Circle Book Reviews (Sharon Wildwind):

… the world of long-distance truckers remains closed to most of us. Not so for R. E. Donald. She and her late husband spent decades in the transportation industry. This mystery novel, Slow Curve on the Coquihalla, uses that experience wonderfully well.

This book is filled with details of what life is really like for long-haulers and the people who love them. It’s tough enough for a guy who isn’t sure about reading mysteries; and satisfying for any mystery fan who loves convoluted plots. There’s a second and third coming in this series, and I’m looking forward to both of them.  (See full review.)

Goodreads review from Lee Holz:

Slow Curve On The Coquihalla is a police procedural as well as a first rate who-done-it. Author Donald plays fair with her clues in this well crafted mystery. Interesting characters and occasionally lyric descriptions of the Canadian West are a bonus. All in all a very enjoyable read.    (See complete review)

Truck & Driver magazine, United Kingdom:

Slow Curve on the Coquihalla (‘the Coke’ is a mountain highway) is surprisingly, in our experience, well written for a self-published novel. Although the denouement does take the reader a little by surprise, as the third-person Hunter Rayne gives few clues as to whom his suspicions are centred on, both this and Ice are recommended reads.  (View full review.)
